Maths Rich Task

Room 13 were having a go at a 'Rich Maths Task'. We were trying to work out if there were Four teams of five soccer players and three teams were Year Two's then how many would be Year One. They started off making sports fields and then we moved onto using equations to show how to work out the answer.

    This is such a cool rich Maths task Room 13 and I love the way you have set out the soccer field on your mat to try and solve your task together. I can see that some of you are thinking really hard too! It would be great to see the equations you created too.

    Great Job room 13, Maths is so much fun and can be done in so many ways. It is great to have problems to solve that relate to games that you play like soccer!! keep up the great work
